Trauma-Informed Parenting + Caregiving

Coaching for parents and caregivers who have experienced trauma themselves and/or are caring for children and young people who have experienced trauma.

My work with children and families began during my years working in a domestic abuse agency as well as my time working with families at the internationally-renown Trauma Center in Boston, MA. I have experience working with parents of all kinds including foster parents, pre- and post-adoptive parents, and other caregivers in understanding the complex impacts of developmental trauma and attachment disruptions. Consultations focus on strengthening and supporting the parent-child relationship through deepening your understanding of your child, making sense of their emotional and behavioral experiences, and fostering the repair and building of healthy attachments in families. I can also support families who are navigating challenges in school and other settings, including preparation for 504 and IEP requests and meetings and working with school personnel to attend to the needs of your child, including trauma-informed supports and accommodations in the school setting.

Additionally, I enjoy working with families navigating caregiving with multiple parents and caregivers, including those in poly/open relationships and those who have separated/divorced.
